Do you wear black socks with sneakers?

This used to be weird European style. Are kids who wear white socks with sneakers now considered dorky? When did this style change happen exactly?

I wear black athletic socks with sneakers. They are low socks so they usually don't show much above the shoe. I'm not really sure if white socks are considered dorky. I haven't put much thought in what socks someone else is wearing.

The color of my socks fully depends on what shoes I'm wearing. If I'm caring about what I look like that day at least.

I honestly feel like a lot of fashion question can be answered by going over to r/streetwear and just seeing how people tend to dress there. A lot of the fashion there is what I see day to day (for the most part).

I wear all sorts of colors and patterns. I have socks designed for all the holidays, different seasons, animals, tv/movies, food, and books including my favorites a pair with Edgar Allen Poe heads all over them and a pair with the smiley guy from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy all over them. Life is too short for boring socks.

I have assorted black, gray or white ankle socks. I'll wear black with my black Vans slip ons because they look kinda weird with white socks. My other sneakers it really doesn't make a noticeable difference to me. You can barely see them anyway. They don't even always match each other.

Who the hell color coordinates their socks and shoes? I own 1 pair of sneakers. They're gray. I own one color of sock: white.

This is literally the most I've ever thought about my shoe/sock color.

No. Kids wearing black socks with sneakers was more of a thing here in New York Metro about 5 or 6 years ago. Colors other than white are still popular, but not so much the the black crew or executive sock anymore.

I don't. The only time I see people doing it is when their shoes (sneakers or not) are black (or majority black).

For casual low rise shoes I'm completely switched over to Balega Hidden Comfort. They're black.

It depends on which socks I have that are clean..

The color of my socks depends on the color of my pants. I'll often wear dark wash jeans with similarly dark colored argyle print socks and sneakers if I have to walk a long distance.
